Thailand's breathtaking islands are home to the rare spectacle of fire dancing, the signature tourist attraction of the Thai beaches. The documentary examines the lives of a group of boys who dance with poi's and staffs to earn money for a living. Exploited by the bars they work for, the boys describe their dreams of escape and living in the West, although in reality they are trapped by their lack of money and dependancy on the bar for basic accommodation and wages. Their detachment from Thai culture and obsession with Western women is observed revealing the boys deep rooted misery masked by an alcohol fuelled existence.
